Dinner time!!!!
My first tatties of the year, "1st early Rocket"
I had them in the tunnel for around 14 weeks, not sure how much difference it made?? my other 2 tatties are only 2-3weeks max away and they have been grow outdoors.
Taste??? Its hard not to get swept up in the "homegrown is best" bullshit!! But these do taste great, Classic new tattie flavour,Light soft skins, not as nutty as Jersey royals.
Looking like around 6kgs from 25 seed.
Very happy, I would grow them again.

Grow you fuckers!!!!!!

Only 5 months to go
The way I found it.

Getting the trees oot

Getting the new fence, path and lawn down

Removing the trees was a right pain in the arse, ruined the lawn, and managed to rip up my neighbours path!!

Started chitting my new tatties today, rocket, home guard, and arran pilot 2.5kg of each. The plan is to build a "cheap" small polytunnel(watch this space) and try and force the rocket for a bumper crop of mega early new tatties. The other 2 I'm going down the standard route.
